Complementary Acupuncture

Podiatric acupuncture is used in the treatment of a range of conditions, but it's particularly

effective in relieving pain in the feet and lower limbs. By inserting very fine needles at specific points on the legs and feet, acupuncture stimulates the body to release chemicals that act as painkillers and promote the body's own healing abilities.

Acupuncture is sometimes used alone, but it's more commonly used as a complement to other

podiatry treatments. It's largely pain-free with little side effects and has the added benefit of

encouraging the body to help itself, rather than relying on medication. Acupuncture often brings quick relief from symptoms, but you might need a few sessions to see an improvement.
